    TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Monday

    Stocks ended the week lower as the price of crude oil topped $125 per barrel. The Dow industrials had the worst of it, down nearly 1% after losing 120.90 on the day. The S&P 500 was off by 9.40. The Nasdaq Composite lost 5.72.

    Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Monday:

    Blockbuster (BBI | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) will go ahead with its planned billion-dollar bid for Circuit City, which agreed to open its books to the potential acquirer on Friday

    Activist shareholder Kirk Kerkorian announced his plans to increase his investment in Ford Motors (F | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) to the tune of an overall 5.7% stake in the company.

    Shares of Sony Corporation (SNE | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) sold off today in spite of this week's release of the wildly popular video game, Grand Theft Auto 4. Sony's Playstation platform is among the more popular platforms for the graphics intensive game.

    Blaming the rising cost of fuel, FedEx (FDX | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) lowered its profit forecast for the fourth quarter. FedEx closed down more than 3% on Friday.
