Database Administrator- New York

Summary
This person will join the Technology team and will be responsible for the development and delivery of all technical aspects of projects within a given business unit.

Responsibilities
      Create database instances for development and production use
      Install and configure database management systems
      Plan architecture for database implementations
      Implement database listener
      Create users and administer user privileges
      Maintain databases ensuring maximum up time and efficiency
      Define and implement backup process including archiving, and ensure reliable operation of such systems
      Plan and implement tuning on servers, databases and SQL levels
      Monitor databases using alert logs and other indicators
      Diagnose and repair any failure conditions that occur
      Design and implement database schemas to fulfill project requirements
      Participate in all planning meetings discussing data flow, identifying database needs
      Develop entity relationship diagrams in conjunction with developers
      Refine and redesign data models ensuring efficiency and appropriate level of normalization
      Generate user schemas, including table structure and referential integrity constraints
      Create database objects such as sequences and triggers
      Maintain data through import/export, script and PL/SQL generation
      Create exports of user/table datasets for release and short-term backup
      Install data loads from clients
      Generate scripts for implementation or update of user schemas on foreign databases

Required Skills
      Degree or Diploma in Computer Science
               2+ years experience as an Oracle Certified DBA (OCP) in an Internet environment
               2+ years knowledge of Oracle tools, stored procedures, triggers, tuning, backup and recovery, AQL                    abilities, PL/SQL, as well as thorough knowledge of OODBMS
               Good documentation and communication skills
               Experience writing import files, and using SQL Loader

Application Developer - New York

Summary
This person will join the Technology department and will be responsible for the development and delivery of technical aspects or projects within a given business unit.

Responsibilities
      Assist with implementation of project architecture, standards and processes, under the direction of Senior           Technical Lead and Software Project Manager
      Research, identify and document client's technical requirements
      Determine and identify appropriate technologies to be used
      Develop and document the system architecture
      Assist Database Administrator in creating data flows and database schemas
      Assist with implementation of project design, standards and processes, under the direction of Senior Technical
           Lead and Software Project Manager
      Develop and document the high-level technical design
      Identify project tasks and define task definitions
      Assist in developing technical project schedules, plans, task assignments and time estimates
      Attend regular project technical team meetings
      Provide senior project staff with full communication of project progress
      Take an active role in development of low-level design
      Work with senior staff and Software Project Manager to develop time estimates for project tasks
      Develop code in keeping with established processes and standards
      Debug and unit test modules before deployment to QA environment
      Assist deployment staff by providing necessary documentation
      Create and maintain project documentation, in accordance with established standards

Required Skills
      BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
      2+ years working experience designing and building applications with languages such as Java, C++, C#
      2+ years experience with one of the following application servers; BEA Weblogic, ATG Dynamo, IBM
         Websphere)
      Experience with a revision control system
      1+ years experience with web servers such as Iplanet, apache, etc.
      1+ years experience with and a strong understanding of Sun Solaris
      1+ years experience with Oracle 8 and ANSI SQL
      Strong creative problem-solving ability
      Excellent organizational skills
      Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines

Flash Developer - New York or Los Angeles

Summary
The Flash Developer builds Flash pieces for Web-based, desktop and wireless delivery. Using the Macromedia Flash authoring tool, the developer executes the components and script that compromise Flash projects. Working closely with project teams that include creative members such as designers and copywriters - as well as technical members such as web developers - the Flash Developer works to balance technical requirements with creative needs. The Flash Developer works within the context of the Flash/Flex development infrastructure implemented by the Flash development group on a project-by-project basis. The Flash Developer is expected to code with re-usability in mind, implement new scripting techniques when possible and be up to speed on current Flash development.

Responsibilities Skills
      Developing Flash pieces that balance creative and technical excellence
      Collaborating with team members to implement the best use of Flash
      Working closely with art directors and designers to ensure that creative intent and results are achieved at the
          highest level
      Working closely with Web developers to ensure technical integration and the meeting of requirements
      Working closely with other Flash developers, Flash designers and animators on Flash projects ensuring
          peer-to-peer sharing of knowledge and practices
      Maintaining high coding standards and practices and exercising quality control on all aspects of Flash
          development
      Implementing innovative Flash techniques and features
      Problem-solving in scripting, performance and optimization of Flash projects

Required Skills
      At least one to two years' experience as a Flash developer in an agency environment
      Expertise in Flash development methodologies (i.e. ActionScript, component implementation, etc.) and
          quality assurance
      Flash animation, video and design knowledge
      Creative toolset knowledge and expertise (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
      Web technology knowledge (i.e. XML, HTML, etc.)
      Ability to communicate Flash's technical and creative prowers
      Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse demands
      Proven aptitude for quick creative and technical thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding
         deadlines
      A strong team player who will develop team relations that foster both learning and excellence

Network Analyst - New York

Position Description
Works independently to provide network operations support, administration, installation and maintenance of voice/data satellite networks (LANs/WANs) and associated lines and equipment. Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of trouble resolution, service tier agreements, quality of services and implementation success. Major responsibilities include the following: Pro-actively analyzes network performance and high reliability of the network; Directs trouble resolution activities, coordinating with technical staff, vendors and carriers; Makes recommendations on changes to network elements, processes or tools to improve quality and timeliness of trouble resolution; Provides advance training and guidance to technical staff.  

Position Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral; Excellent troubleshooting and analytical ability; 5-7 years experience in network engineering, operations or network management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
