Welichem Biotech Gets Approval For Phase IIa Clinical Trial On Eczema - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Welichem Biotech Inc. (WBI.V | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) announced that it has received approval for Phase IIa Clinical Trial of its anti-inflammatory drug candidate, WBI-1001, on atopic dermatitis,a type of eczema.

The company added that it has completed Phase I Clinical Trial on psoriasis, and clinical data on its safety and efficacy in Trial should be available by the end of April this year.

The company said it will initiate its Phase IIa Clinical Trial of WBI-1001 in the coming months. A Phase II study to confirm and explore its safety and efficacy on psoriasis is planned for mid-2008.
