STAAR Receives Approval To Market Visian Toric Implantable Collamer Lens, Visian ICH In China - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ophthalmic products maker STAAR Surgical Co. (STAA | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) said it has received approval from the State Food and Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China, or SFDA, to market the STAAR Visian Toric Implantable Collamer Lens for the treatment of nearsightedness and astigmatism.

In addition the SFDA has granted approval to STAAR to market the STAAR Visian ICH, an implantable collamer lens to correct hyperopia or farsightedness.

The recent approvals position the company for continued growth in key market, the company noted.
