Array BioPharma Initiates Phase 1 Clinical Trial For ARRY-614; Files IND Application With FDA - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Array BioPharma Inc. (ARRY | news | PowerRating | PR Charts ) said it filed an Investigational New Drug or IND application for ARRY-614 with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial for ARRY-614, a potent, orally active p38 / Tie2 inhibitor.

The company said that ARRY-614 has shown efficacy and a low side effect profile in pre-clinical models of human cancer and arthritis. The compound will initially be evaluated in a single and multiple dose escalation study in normal, healthy volunteers for safety, tolerability, exposure and inhibition of mechanism-related biomarkers, the company noted.
