TD Ameritrade Lifts Q1 EPS Outlook

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (AMTD | charts | news | PowerRating), an online brokerage company, said it has raised its earnings outlook for the first quarter of fiscal 2008.

For the first quarter, the company now expects earnings of about $0.39 per share, up from its previous expectation of $0.27 to $0.33 per share. On average, eleven analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial expected the company to earn $0.32 per share for the first quarter.

Further, the Omaha, Nevada-based company said its average client trades for November were 339,000 per day, up from 248,000 average daily client trades in the prior year month.

TD Ameritrade also recorded average investable assets of $30.9 billion and average fee-based investment balances of $58.1 billion.

As of November 30, 2007, client assets were about $301 billion and average investable assets was $30.9 billion. Average fee-based investment balances totaled $58.1 billion.

AMTD closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $19.40, up 18 cents. In the after-hours, the shares further gained 75 cents or 3.87%.
