With the report, shares of Puget Energy gapped open higher on Friday and are holding those gains, trading at $29.65 up $3.42 from Thursday's close. The advance has taken the stock to a new multi-year high.
Upon closing, Puget Holdings will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Puget Energy common stock for $30 per share in cash.
