(RTTNews) - TGC Industries (TGE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) gapped open higher and continued to climb throughout most Wednesday morning's trading, before paring its gains in the afternoon.

The stock broke resistance and surpassed its 50-day moving average and tested its 200-day moving average. Shares closed at their highest level since late February, up 98 cents at $8.21.
