UAL Corporation Breaks Through Resistance To Set Six Week Closing High

(RTTNews) - UAL Corporation (UAUA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) soared more than 68% on Tuesday after the company secured a $1 billion deal to boost its bottom line, while also reporting a narrower than expected loss. The stock rose throughout the morning, spiking higher on heavy volume around 11:00 am ET. UAUA rose further in the afternoon to close at its intraday high, up $3.42 at $8.41.

With the gain, the stock broke through resistance and crossed its 50-day moving average to set a six week closing high.
