) saw significant buying interest after the company reported it swung to profit in its fourth quarter. The stock opened higher and continued to advance into the mid-morning before stabilizing. Shares closed at $7.45, up 91 cents. The rally pushed the stock above its 200-day moving average, climbing to a 3 1/2 month high.
The company's net income for the first quarter was $16.81 million or $0.05 per share, compared to net loss of $19.95 million or $0.06 per share in the previous year. Income from continuing operations was $14.68 million or $0.04 per share, compared to a loss from continuing operations of $12.17 million or $0.04 per share last year.
