(RTTNews) - CSG Systems (CSGS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) saw significant buying interest on Monday on news that the company extended a contract with Comcast (CMCSA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) through 2012 and reaffirmed its 2008 fiscal year guidance. Shares gapped open higher and continued to climb during the first 20 minutes of trading, before moving with uncertainty throughout the rest of the session.

The stock broke resistance and surpassed its 50-day moving average. Shares finished at their highest level since early June, up $1.26 at $12.76.
