(RTTNews) - Aegon (AEG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is on the rise during pre-market trading on Monday following news that the company has successfully completed a securitization transaction to improve capital efficiency and optimize the capital structure as part of a new strategy. This transaction adds around EUR 315 million of core capital, thus enhancing the financial flexibility of the Group.

At 9:26 am ET the stock is trading at $13.15 up $0.30 from Friday's close.

With the advance, the stock stands to open above recent resistance and at its highest level since early July.
