The company reported net profit of $57.3 million, or $0.60 per share, from $25.4 million, or $0.26 per share, in the same quarter last year.
Excluding special items, the company reported an EPS of $0.65 for the quarter.
On average, analysts were looking for earnings of $0.68 per share.
