(RTTNews) - L-3 Communications (LLL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) gapped open lower on Friday and gradually lost value throughout the day before climbing back near its opening value in the last hour of trading.

The stock ended the session at $80.00 down $4.63 from Thursday's close.

The decline came on strong volume and took the stock to its lowest level in over a year and a half.
