WellCare Health Plans Closed Wednesday at New Low for Year

(RTTNews) - WellCare Health Plans (WCG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced after the close Wednesday that it would not timely file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q with the SEC for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

WellCare Health Plans gapped down sharply Thursday and declined until around mid-morning. The stock recovered some ground in the afternoon, but finished lower by $10.77 at $9.10 on the highest volume of the year. The stock has been falling for the last week and closed at a new low for the year.
