IMRX: Initiates Coverage @ Speculative Buy w/12-Month Price Target of $2.00

Dutton Associates has initiated coverage of ImaRx Therapeutics, Inc. (IMRX), with a Speculative Buy rating and 12-month price target of $2.00.

ImaRx Therapeutics is currently focusing on expanding its commercialization efforts for its FDA approved product, Abbokinase(R) (urokinase), for the treatment of acute massive pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). ImaRx is also beginning development of urokinase for other clinical indications. In addition to its focus on urokinase, the Company had been developing a unique technology using microbubbles and is now looking for a collaboration partner for continued development. Its initial therapeutic focus for this technology is ischemic stroke (stroke caused by a blood clot which causes tissue damage resulting from a reduced supply of oxygen).

According to Dutton, "We believe that the shares represent an attractive value at current depressed levels based on current levels of Abbokinase sales, possible development of other indications for Abbokinase, and the potential market for the Company's microbubble technology."
