EBay announced plans to change its fee and feedback formulas in ways which have upset some of the company's best sellers, which led to the boycott of the site. According to Medved.net there was a decline of about 17% in the number of listed items available for sale on eBay during the first three days of the boycott.
An eBay spokesman said that as of Friday, the company had not detected any strike-related effects on its listings totals.
Policy changes for eBay include lowering the listing fees for posting items for sale on the site but hiking the final value fees it charges as a commission for sales, and changing the feedback section so that sellers cannot leave negative comments about buyers.
