Lim said these youths include those studying in the citys public elementary schools and those from the orphanages.
According to the mayor, the said children definitely cannot afford to buy tickets to the park so that he will have to find ways to make them undergo the unique experience that the MOP offers.
Aside from the biggest oceanarium in the country featuring at least 20,000 rare and colorful fishes most of which can be found only in Philippine waters, the park also offers information about the said marine life.
Aside from the aquatic display, the park visitors may also enjoy a glass-bottomed boat ride, 20-foot acrylic underwater tunnel and an activity center with interactive devices that offer information regarding Philippine waters and the life in it.
Once construction is completed, the MOP will also have shopping mall and a boutique hotel.
Lim, along with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, led the inauguration of the said park along with its president Lim Chee Yong, whom the mayor said he will be talking to regarding the special arrangements for the underprivileged youngsters of the city.
The mayor added that he will also try to work on giving the residents a special discount.
Meanwhile, Lim said that he will also be ordering the detail of policemen to help maintain the peace in the park and its immediate vicinity, given the fact that tourists will be frequenting it.
