Southern Union Company appoints Michal Barzuza to board

Mar 04, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- SUG | news | PowerRating | PR Charts -- Southern Union Company (NYSE:SUG), a natural gas company, declared on 3 March that Michal Barzuza has been named to its board of directors, with effect from 1 March 2008.

The company said Barzuza fills a newly-created director position, taking the total number of board directors to ten. Presently, Barzuza is employed as an associate professor of law at the University of Virginia School of Law since 2005. She teaches courses in corporate governance, corporate law policy and corporations. Before joining the University of Virginia, Barzuza was the John M. Olin Research Fellow in Law & Economics at the Harvard Law School, Olin Center for Law, Economics and Business.
