The vehicle is available in two petrol versions - 1.1-litre and 1.6-litre.
"The launch of the Palio Stile multijet version is the first in the line of many exciting launches lined up by Fiat this year," Fiat India CEO Rajeev Kapoor told reporters here.
Fiat's multijet engine is being produced under licence by other manufacturers and it has proved its mettle in the cars launched both internationally and within the country, he said.
The company is currently selling 350 units of its petrol version. With the launch of its diesel version today, the company is targeting sales of 1,000 units this year, Kapoor said.
