Corgenix Medical Corporation executes technology licensing agreement with Okayama Prefecture Industrial Promotion Foundation

Mar 19, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- CONX | news | PowerRating | PR Charts -- Corgenix Medical Corporation (OTCBB: CONX), a developer and marketer of diagnostic test kits, declared on 18 March that the company has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with the Okayama Prefecture Industrial Promotion Foundation, a Japanese government agency promoting research and development among industry, universities and governments.

The new license agreement covers new diagnostic technology for serum amyloid protein (SAP), an important serum bio-marker for cardiovascular inflammation.

The serum amyloid technology was developed by Dr Eiji Matsuura at the University of Okayama Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Corgenix, under the terms of the agreement, has the exclusive rights outside of Japan to further develop the serum amyloid technology, including adapting to research and clinical diagnostic products.
