| PR Charts -- ? Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung on March 19 gave the nod to a proposal for signing an accord on preferential import tax rates with the Lao Ministry of Industry and Trade for 2008.

According to the Government office, the proposal was made by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On the same day, Deputy PM Hung, on behalf of the Prime Minister, also approved in principle a Viet Nam-Laos trade development project for 2008-2015.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to cooperate with relevant ministries, branches and localities to sign agreement of implementation of the project with Laos .

The Ministry will also issue official documents urging ministries, branches, localities and businesses carry out relevant work, promoting Viet Nam-Laos trade to fulfill the two countries? plan.
