On 28 March the members of the delegation met with the teaching staff and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Cho Jung Pyo familiarized closely with the Korean Cultural Centre and the electronic library of the university and highly apprised the conditions provided in the educational institution.

For the major contribution made in the development of the humanitarian relations between the two countries the South Korean guest was awarded the title of the Honoured Doctor of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

"Uzbekistan is the homeland of great philosophers who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of world science and culture," Cho Jung Pyo said. "Tashkent, located at the crossroad of the Great Silk Road, has play an important role in the development of the cultural, and scientific relations between the East and the West for many centuries."

"It is a great honour for me to be awarded the title of the Doctor of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. I am convinced that our bilateral ties will continue to grow stronger and develop further in all spheres," he said.

The members of the Korean delegation also visited a number of ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, where they held talks on the expansion of cooperation.
