Vietnam to host int'l trade fair next week

HANOI, Apr 3, 2008 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- -- Vietnam will organize the 18th Vietnam International Trade Fair, Vietnam Expo 2008, from April 9- 13, aiming to beef up trade promotion, and lure more investment, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade on Thursday.

The annual fair, co-organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Co, is an opportunity for local and foreign enterprises to share experience, intensify technology transfer and promote business cooperation.

About 200 local firms and 300 foreign ones from 15 countries and regions are expected to display their products, including electrical appliances, telecommunications equipment, textiles, garments, footwear, construction materials, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals at the fair.
