Hanoi, Apr 23, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- -- ? The government has no plan to equitise State-owned agricultural and forestry farms but only transform them into the form of companies, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has said.

The Deputy PM was speaking at a conference on rearrangement of State-owned enterprises (SoEs) in Hanoi on April 23.

He suggested forming five central-level missions in charge of surveying agricultural and forestry farms in all 64 provinces and cities to assess their management models and suggest measures to improve the business efficiency of these important economic units.

Stressing the need to ensure the interests of labourers, Deputy PM Hung said the Government will allow the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) to represent in owning the State capital in State-owned groups and corporations.

The Deputy PM also asked the relevant agencies to speed up the plan to rearrange and renew SoEs in order to help accomplish the country?s socio-economic development targets.
