NAPERVILLE, IL and CHICAGO, IL, Apr 28, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- BWLD | news | PowerRating | PR Charts -- Home Goods, Road Runner Sports, Relax-the-Back and Charles Ifergan all have made lease commitments to open locations in Naperville's new Springbrook Prairie Pavilion, it was announced today.

Home Goods, Road Runner Sports, Relax-the-Back and Charles Ifergan will join Whole Foods, Loehmann's, Cost Plus World Market, Nordstrom Rack, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bank of America and Chase Bank as initial tenants at Springbrook Prairie Pavilion when it opens this summer. The 270,000 square foot center is being developed by Bond Companies along with its joint venture partner, MDC Properties of Hinsdale, IL. Bond has offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and Richmond, Va.

Announcement of the commitment was made by Robert J. Bond, President of Bond Companies.

HomeGoods was established in 1992 and currently operates over 270 stores across the country. It is owned by The TJX Companies, Inc., based in Framingham, MA, which also is the parent company of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.

HomeGoods is an off-price home fashions retailer which provides quality home fashions, including brand and designer name merchandise at prices 20 - 60% less than finer catalog, specialty and department store prices, every day.

Road Runner, based in San Diego, CA, will open its first Chicago area location when it moves into its new 7,200 square feet store in the center which is under construction on a 27 acre site at the northwest corner of 75th St. and Fort Hill Drive in Naperville.

Road Runner Sports was founded in 1983 by Michael Gotfredson to provide sports minded people the ability to buy quality fitness products at great prices. Road Runner Sports offers an array of men's and women's running shoes, jogging shoes, kids' sneakers, running apparel and running gear for cross country and track runners, marathoners, triathletes and beginning runners. The Road Runner Sports stores, catalogs and websites features leading brands such as Asics, Gel Kayano, Adidas, New Balance, Nike, Brooks, Reebok, Dunham and Saucony.

Relax-the-Back is the nation's largest specialty "back store" and offers the highest quality products for comfort, pain relief and pain prevention. The Relax the Back stores offer such brand names as Zero Gravity Recliners by Barcalounger, Tempur-Pedic Mattresses, Sanyo and Inada Massage Chairs and Lifeform Executive seating. The stores also provide many clinics with various back care products such wedges, pillows and lumbar supports.

The new store in Springbrook Prairie Pavilion will be 3,000 square feet. Relax-the-Back has other Chicago area locations in Oakbrook Terrace, Lincolnshire, Northbrook and Lincoln Park.

Charles Ifergan, which has its flagship location on Oak Street in Chicago as well as other locations in Deerfield and Oakbrook Terrace, is continuously featured as one of the most outstanding hair salons and day spas in Chicago and throughout the U.S.

Springbrook Prairie Pavilion features a central plaza integrated into the design that will add a new retail lifestyle experience, including use for events, programs and other gatherings. Springbrook Prairie Pavilion also is designed as a pedestrian-friendly shopping center, with bike paths and sidewalks leading to the DuPage County Forest Preserve. Furthermore, Springbrook Prairie Pavilion is the first development in DuPage County which will seek LEED Silver Certification as recognized by the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

"We are pleased that quality retailers and services providers like Home Goods, Road Runner Sports, Relax the Back and Charles Ifergan have made a commitment to Springbrook Prairie Pavilion. All of these fine firms are ideal for Springbrook Prairie which will be more than just another typical suburban center," said Bond. "It will be different in terms of form and function featuring a design that assures the center will blend almost seamlessly into the surrounding natural environs. In addition, there are many 'sustainable' features that contribute to the preservation of the environment."

Bond Companies, with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and Richmond, Va., has been developing and financing award winning, economically sound, mixed-used environments and retail projects since 1987. The Company has a distinguished record of accomplishment in transforming properties -- be they ground-up construction or the renovation of existing structures -- into vibrant new communities offering a new generation of opportunities for those who live, work, study and / or simply visit these new centers of attraction. Bond Companies applies its innovative vision to integrate the differing demands of multi-family residences with retail stores and offices along with hospitality and accommodation facilities. All is done with the utmost concern for creating energy efficient, environmentally sustainable properties.

The LEED Silver Certification is awarded by the USGBC, a Washington D.C.-based organization that promotes design and construction practices that reduce the negative environmental impacts of buildings and thus improve occupant health and well-being. In the United States and in a number of other countries around the world, LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability.

The LEED "green" building rating system offers four certification levels for new construction -- Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum -- that correspond to the number of credits accrued in five green design categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources and indoor environmental quality.
