The company has submitted its A-share listing application, which consists of its planned fundraising size, listing plan and timetable, to the council, sources said.
The first batch of red chips that are approved to seek for A-share listings include companies in sectors like telecommunications, energy and tourism network, citing sources.
Besides large-sized companies such as China Mobile and CNOOC Ltd. (SEHK:0883), this batch of red chips also include companies that have gained investments from their parent companies in recent years and have been well prepared for A-share market listings like China Travel International Investment Hong Kong Ltd. (SEHK: 0308).
More red chips and overseas listed companies will be encouraged to debut in the A-share market, noted an official in the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
