Swedish hotel property company Home Properties AB acquires two properties in Visby

May 09, 2008 (NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT via COMTEX) -- -- Swedish hotel property company Home Properties AB (OMX Stockholm: HOPR) said on Friday (9 May) that it has agreed to acquire two properties adjacent to its hotel property Clarion Hotel Wisby in Visby, Sweden.

Home Properties is acquiring the properties, comprising a total of 3,300 square metres, from GE Real Estate AB in a SEK33m deal.

Home Properties said that it intends to convert the properties into hotel space and to rent them to Clarion Hotel Wisby.

Home Properties, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is one of the Nordic region's leading hotel property companies with a portfolio of 23 properties in Sweden and Norway. The company reported a net turnover of SEK223m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.97 Swedish kronor (SEK).
