FDC receives USFDA nod for Timolol Maleate Opthalmic Solutions

Mumbai, May 09, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- FDILF | news | PowerRating | PR Charts -- Pharma company FDC Ltd today said it has received US Food and Drug Administration's nod for abbreviated new drug application 'Timolol Maleate Opthalmic Solution', used in the treatment of eye disease Glaucoma.

The company's other two ANDAs 'Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution' and 'Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution' are also in the final stage of approval, FDC said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.

Mumbai-based FDC manufactures drugs used in the treatment of respiratory disoder and other infections. It exports active pharmaceutical ingredients to around 50 countries.
