In Farmers Branch, Texas, the mayoral race pits Tim O'Hare -- a city council member and illegal immigration critic -- against real estate agent Gene Bledsoe, a critic of city spending.

In Irving, seven people are vying for three city council seats, and incumbent Mayor Herbert Gears is being challenged by former council member Roland Jeter and former building inspector Rigo Reza.

In Carrollton, Mayor Becky Miller faces challenger Ron Branson. Miller is seeking her second and final term.

In Frisco, former council member Maher Maso faces current council member Matt Lafata in the city's mayoral race. Eight people are running for two City Council seats.

Also on the Frisco ballot is a proposal that would allow establishments to sell alcohol until 2 a.m. every night.

Dallas school district voters will decide whether to approve $1.3 billion in bonding. Of that, $521 million would be earmarked for building renovations and $450 million for new school construction, while $96 million would be designated for technology upgrades.
