Specially, Vietnam is estimated to sell goods worth 326 million dollars to the United Arab Emirates, 299.8 million dollars to Turkey, 236 million dollars to India, 184.9 million dollars to South Africa, 141 million dollars to Egypt, and 47.7 million dollars to Nigeria, the paper quoted the Department of Africa, Western Asia and Southern Asia Market Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade as reporting.
Key items to the markets include coffee, seafood, pepper, rice, handicraft, electronic products, rubber, coal, footwear, textiles and garments, said the department.
Vietnam exported products worth 1.72 billion dollars to Africa, western and southern Asia in 2007, including 685.8 million dollars to Africa, 692.2 million dollars to western Asia and 342 million dollars to southern Asia.
The country has eyed total export revenues of 59.3 billion dollars in 2008, up from nearly 48.4 billion dollars in 2007, and 39.6 billion dollars in 2006.
