CITIBANK BANGLADESH SIGNS MOU ON ONLINE BILL COLLECTION SERVICE

DHAKA, May 14, 2008 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX) -- CIBWF | news | PowerRating | PR Charts -- Citibank, N.A. Bangladesh and Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (DESA) on Wednesday will sign a memorandum of understanding, which will facilitate online bill collection of DESA through CitiConnect.

Customers of DESA will be able to receive their bills and make online payments via Citi's innovative CitiConnect payment gateway, said a press release.

This is the first time ever that a foreign commercial bank has taken a significant step towards promoting public sector partnerships.

Senior officials from Citibank and DESA will sign on behalf of their respective institutions.
