DVD MovieFactory with support for the SpursEngine SE1000 high-performance stream processor utilizes four processor cores and one hardware codec to encode and decode MPEG-2 and H.264 video. These advanced processing elements offer high-performance media streaming capabilities, with a clock frequency of 1.5GHz, while achieving a low power consumption range of 10W to 20W providing a more efficient authoring solution.
"We are pleased DVD MovieFactory is the first DVD authoring software to support the TOSHIBA SpursEngine," said Denise MacDonell, Senior Director of Product Management, Digital Media at Corel. "With the SpursEngine, DVD MovieFactory effectively balances the ability to quickly encode, decode and transcode high-definition video while minimizing power consumption. With DVD Movie Factory, users will be able to more quickly and easily author and burn breathtaking video creations that they will be proud to share."
DVD MovieFactory with SpursEngine support will be available beginning in late 2008.
