Netezza Names Francis Dramis to Board

NEW YORK, Jun 09, 2008 (ASCRIBE NEWS via COMTEX) -- BLS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Netezza, a provider of data warehouse and analytic appliances, announced that it has named Francis "Fran" Dramis as a member of its Board of Directors.

Dramis is currently Chief Executive Officer of F. Dramis, a technology consulting company, a position he has held since February 2007. Prior to that, Dramis was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, E-Commerce & Security for BellSouth Corp., a telecommunications company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Dramis held a variety of positions at BellSouth, which he joined in December 1998. Dramis is also a director of Avocent Corp. and Ditech Networks, Inc. and serves on the boards of several private companies.

Outgoing Board member, Ted Dintersmith of Charles River Ventures, has served on the Netezza Board of Directors since 2000, providing valuable insight and support during the company's early growth through its successful IPO in July 2007.
