Net sales for the three months ended March 31 rose to $62.8 million from $54.4 million a year eearlier. Wall Street analysts, on average, estimated revenue of $61.4 million.
The Hampton, Va.-based designer of sensors for original equipment manufacturers also maintained its fiscal 2009 guidance for earnings of $1.30 a share on sales of $225 million.
Three analysts, on average, estimate 2009 earnings of $1.30 a share on revenue of $254.6 million.
Measurement Specialties shares closed Wednesday at $18.13.
