DRI Corporation awarded order for Mobitec products in Uruguay

Jun 12, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- TBUS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- DRI Corporation (DRI) (Nasdaq:TBUS), a digital communications company operating in the surface transportation and transit security markets, announced on Wednesday (11 June) that Mobitec Group, a supplier of electronic destination sign systems and the company's subsidiary based in Sweden, has received an order for its Mobitec electronic destination sign systems from Uruguay.

The order, received through Mobitec's 50% owned joint venture in Brazil, is valued at approximately USD0.65m and is for the bus fleet in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The order includes products to retrofit the existing Montevideo bus fleet and LED sign systems, control units and cabling to fit new vehicles being added to that bus fleet.

The company said that delivery under the order has already commenced and is expected to conclude in the last half of 2008.
