Presently, Johnson is employed as vice president and chief financial officer of TorreyPines Therapeutics Inc.

Previously, Johnson has served MitoKor Inc as chief financial officer and senior vice president of operations from 1994 to 2004. He was employed with Price Waterhouse LLP from 1984 to 1988. In addition, he has been actively part of the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers since 1998.
