Lancome hires new makeup artistic director

Jun 13, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- REV | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Aaron De Mey has been appointed as the new makeup artistic director of L'Oreal's beauty brand Lancome, reported Cosmeticnews.com.

Previously, Gucci Westman served as Lancome's makeup artistic director. She left the brand in December 2007 and joined Revlon as the company's new global artistic director.

Mr De Mey resides in New York, where he collaborated with many fashion photographers.

Odile Roujol, president of Lancome International, said: "Aaron De Mey's arrival as the new Lancome makeup artistic director opens the door to a new era, which will be more audacious and creative than ever."
