Aladdin adds Linux support to copy protection product

Jun 18, 2008 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- ARIVF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Aladdin Knowledge Systems (Aladdin) (NASDAQ:ALDN), the developer of the Aladdin HASP SRM software- and hardware-based copy protection system, announced on 18 June that it has added support for Linux to its product.

Availability of the system on the Linux platform completes the firm's support for the trio of major operating systems, with support for Windows and Mac OS already available, according to Laila Arad-Allan, VP of software DRM at Aladdin.

According to the company, Aladdin HASP SRM combines copy protection, IP protection and license protection with hardware-based security to offer software developers methods to authenticate, activate and protect their product from piracy and unlicensed use.
