Globecomm has received a contract to design and install multiple Ka frequency band-enabled antennas and related subsystems for a foreign government. The company has received initial funding in the amount of $4.9 million and anticipates completing the project within the next 12 months.
Dave Hershberg, Chairman and CEO of Globecomm, said, This is a very important contract for Globecomm as we are making investments in both Ka and X frequency bands as domestic and foreign governments ramp up their transition from the more widely used C and Ku band frequencies.
Based in Hauppauge, New York, Globecomm Systems also maintains offices in Washington, DC, Maryland, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan.
