Jun 19, 2008 (NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT via COMTEX) -- GCOM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Globecomm Systems, a provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services, announced that the company has been awarded an infrastructure contract from a foreign government valued at up to $8.0 million.

Globecomm has received a contract to design and install multiple Ka frequency band-enabled antennas and related subsystems for a foreign government. The company has received initial funding in the amount of $4.9 million and anticipates completing the project within the next 12 months.
