The company's East Tennessee Materials & Energy Corp. is one of a number of subcontractors working on the project. The company did not say how much it expected to receive for its participation.
The total contract to the CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co. is worth up to $4.5 billion over ten years. The base contract covers five years, with an option to extend it another five years.
The Hanford site, which used to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons, is managed by the Department of Energy.
