Hercules Offshore names John Rynd president and chief executive

NEW YORK, Jun 23, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- HERO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Hercules Offshore Inc. Monday named John Rynd president and chief executive officer. He was also appointed a director of the Houston-based company.

Rynd was previously Hercules's chief operating officer and executive vice president. He succeeds Randall Stilley, who resigned.

Shares of Hercules Offshore closed Friday at $35.46. The stock is up 49% since the start of the year. Ryan Vlastelica rv/pc
