AsiaInfo to upgrade rechargeable card system of China Unicom

BEIJING, Jun 24, 2008 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- CHU | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- China's leading telecom software solution provider AsiaInfo (ASIA.NASDAQ) announced that it had reached an agreement with China Unicom, to upgrade the latter's rechargeable mobile phone card system at its headquarters and two provincial subsidiaries in Hunan and Fujian.

The upgraded system can help China Unicom centralize management of its rechargeable card systems in different provinces.

By restoring to this nationwide system, subscribers can replenish money to their accounts in any province, municipality or autonomous region across the country.
