PARIS, Jun 25, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- AIQUY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Air Liquide said it will invest 160 million euros in a new hydrogen production unit in Rotterdam, notably to support its recent contract to supply hydrogen to Neste Oil.

The new unit will be operational in 2011 and have a capacity of 130,000 cubic metres per hour, a third of which will go to Neste Oil, Air Liquide said in a statement Tuesday evening.

Neste Oil is planning to build a biodiesel production facility in Rotterdam at an estimated cost of 670 million euros, and has named French group Technip as the project's main contractor.
