Emcor Group boosts 2008 forecast, citing 'strong' demand in its markets

BOSTON, Jun 25, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- EME | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Emcor Group Inc. Wednesday raised its 2008 earnings guidance to $2.22 to $2.42 a share on revenue of $6.8 billion to $7 billion, citing "strong" demand for its services in many of its key markets.

Previously, the Norwalk, Conn.-based electrical and mechanical construction company had forecasted earnings of $2.08 to $2.28 a share on revenue of $6.3 billion to $6.5 billion.

The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters is for 2008 profit of $2.31 a share on revenue of $6.76 billion.
