The sent senior executives include Zhang Hongtao, the previous general manager for China Unicom's network building division, Zhang Mingtian and Zhou Xiaoping, who earlier worked as the general manager and deputy general manager at the CDMA network operating division, according to the people.
These officers are likely to be tentative chiefs currently and will get proper positions once China Telecom take over the CDMA network from the seller, said executives at China Telecom, noting that there is no dispatched document about China Telecom's appointment of the executives.
Chang Xiaobing, chairman and chief executive officer for China Unicom, said in an earlier interview that about 29.3% of China Unicom's employees will leave the company and work for China Telecom in the future.
