I2 expects positive impact from patent litigation settlement with SAP America

NEW YORK, Jun 26, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- ITWO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- I2 Technologies Inc. Thursday forecast a positive impact to its second-quarter performance because of recently-settled patent dispute litigation with SAP America.

Under the terms of the settlement, each party will license certain patents to the other in exchange for a one-time cash payment of $83.3 million made to i2. The company expects to receive the money in its third quarter.

I2 disclosed the settlement in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shares of i2 closed Wednesday at $12.72. The stock is down 31% over the past 52 weeks. Ryan Vlastelica rv/pc
