The sales consideration comprises an undisclosed fixed sum in cash and additional payments based on future performance.
The name of the buyer has not yet been released, but according to RTX Telecom the buyer intends maintain RTX Healthcare's current presence in Northern Jutland in Denmark, and to create growth through geographical expansion of sales, investments in additional capacity and technological development.
For RTX Telecom the divestment is part of its strategy to focus on development and production of advanced solutions and products for the professional market, and to sell off telehealth and medico activities.
RTX Telecom, headquartered in Norresundby, Denmark, is a contract developer of wireless solutions. The company has 210 employees in Denmark, Hong Kong and the US, and reported a turnover of DKK216m in 2006/2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 9.45 Danish kroner (DKK).
