DJ Lyxor GBS To Sell Gold ETF Product Control To ETF Securities

LONDON, Jun 27, 2008 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- LGLBF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Lyxor Gold Bullion Securities, which operates the world's second largest gold exchange-traded fund, has agreed to sell control of its gold bullion securities products to ETF Securities, the company said Friday.

This refers to its Lyxor GBS product, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Paris, Borsa Italiana and the Deutsche Boerse, as well as its Australian listed exchange-traded fund, it said in a statement.

These will now be marketed with ETF Securities exchange-traded commodity products.

Exchange codes will remain the same - GBS on the LSE, Euronext Paris and Borsa Italiana, GG98 on Deutsche Boerse and as GOLD on the ASX.

As of June 25 holdings in the London GBS gold ETF were 115 metric tons of gold, or around $3.3 billion, and holdings in the Australian product were 11 tons of gold.
