Elizabeth Reeves named SVP and chief human resources officer at Liz Claiborne

Jun 27, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- LIZ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Liz Claiborne Inc (NYSE:LIZ), a designer and marketer of a portfolio of retail-based premium brands, on Thursday (26 June) announced the appointment of Elizabeth L. Reeves as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective from 4 August 2008.

Reeves replaces Larry McClure, who is retiring at the end of the year.

In her new role Reeves will report directly to William L. McComb, chief executive officer of Liz Claiborne Inc.

Reeves is currently with Lincoln Financial Group as SVP of Human Resources. Prior to that she was with GE (NYSE:GE) for 19 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility in human resources over a range of businesses. Before that she was head of Human Resources for the largest JB Ivey and Company (now Dillard's) department store.
